My Latest Video is a bit Technical

Posted by mohawkade - July 23rd, 2012

Unfortunately the animation is in the form of a Rage Comic, but it helps get the point across.

This video is a Step by Step tutorial on how to hack the latest Nvidia PhysX drivers to support the AGEIA PhysX Card (PPU) again. Which (PPUs) are currently a lot cheaper than buying a High-End Nvidia GPU, if you're too poor to build a Gaming Rig.

If you dunno what a PhysX card is, it's like a video card, but for the laws of physics in a game. Nvidia discontinued using them shortly after they bought AGEIA, but I found a way to hack it back use!

Why? Because this Hack gives you the Ability to play EVERY PhysX Game in HISTORY with Hardware Acceleration Activated! And it always engages with the appropriate games, meaning a PhysX card will only accelerate games meant for a PhysX card and newer PhysX games will only be accelerated by an Nvidia GPU.

Awesome! I bet I'd think this was really cool if I knew what it was.

You know what a Graphics Card is right?

Well instead of calculating the math necessary to generate the image on your screen, it calculates the laws of physics within a video game...
